Labatt Brewing Company Limited (French: La Brasserie Labatt Limitée) is a Belgian-owned brewery headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1847, Labatt is the largest brewer in Canada.


In 1995, it was purchased by Belgian brewer Interbrew.  In 2004, Interbrew merged with Brazilian brewer AmBev to form InBev. In 2008, InBev merged with American brewer Anheuser-Busch to form Anheuser-Busch InBev, making Labatt part of Anheuser-Busch InBev.

Labatt wanted to offer free pedicab rides during the 2008 Summer Olympics, and Winter Olympics of 2006, but were outbid by another brewery. 


In 2008, contracts were in place with Cruise Cab, the sister company to Rockwell Arts, and Gravity Lounge, for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

To maintain the 24 hour around the clock service, there were mobile maintenance crew doing routine tune ups at pinnacle locations during shift change checklists.

Impressive positive feedback from the masses as the Labatt pedicab would drive along the main roads, in and out of barriers because they were partnered with the preferred advertiser.

Cruise Cab added 2 more pedicabs to the line up, because of all the positive feedback, and larger than normal gratuity from tourists visiting the city.

Upon the all the downtown Hotel's notice that Cruise Cab was the preferred pedicab company of the 2010 Winter Olympics, rides from Celebrity's were booked several times a day.  Along with a few decoy cargo trikes, which one of them was carrying the Stanley Cup to the Hockey Arena at the US vs Canada game.

Limited access to roads during Olympic Anniversary celebrations.


Because of unexpected road closures, driver were rerouted to their destination.

Labor shortage during the Olympics, City of Vancouver, & Canadian Government issued temporary VISA's for our experienced pedicab drivers from Portland, New York, and Los Vegas.

Trusted by the NHL with the Stanley cup, future contracts were offered with special events for the Vancouver Canucks, and the transporting of the Stanley Cup.

Labatt and the Club Bud pavilion, gave VIP treatment to the off duty pedicab drivers. Media channels, and various newsprints gave extra free coverage to both Labatt and Cruise Cab for the tale of the Stanley Cup, the well uniformed pedicab drivers, as some were fully wearing Olympic Canada hockey player replica outfits.
